Void Evolution System

Void Evolution System

This novel is a fast paced journey of a broken boy trying his best to survive. He starts off being bullied at the beginning, to having to survive in a dungeon and then in a new world from a fantasy dungeon novel. He goes from that to a short school life novel and adventure in a secret realm. Then travels to a cultivation world making a few close friends possible harem members on the way.

The story does a great job bringing out the characters emotions by taking time to stop and talk about his emotions with himself and the people around. In order for him to grow past his trauma as a child and later in the dungeon. The writer does a good job addressing things that other novels just make it seem like it’s normal, like going from a peaceful world to a place where death is common. It however doesn’t slow down the pace of the book but rather improves the story telling and gives proper depth to the characters. All of the main characters have their own stories and past that gives a good explanation on why the characters are who they are. I really like all the characters in the novel and I enjoy seeing their interactions with each other.

I am going to give the novel 4 stars. I am looking forward to more chapters. I am currently at chapter 136 and looking forward to more chapters. I enjoy the pace of the novel but it feels a little too fast to me, and wish the different worlds he goes to had more development time. Like I am at chapter 136 and he has been to 3-4 worlds already. I just wish there was just as much world development as there was character development. Besides that I like everything else about the novel so far. The power system is great, it’s a combination of a level system and at the same time driven by their own efforts on how they train and practice with the abilities and strength the system gives them. It feels like a good combination of levels and at the same time someone’s own efforts. This allows for flexibility with how strong someone is at the same level where its not just about someone getting lucky with better skills given by the system, or someone having more money to buy better skills. Definitely would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys growth novels with good character development.
