This novel is rather interesting, I feel like I shouldn’t enjoy it, but honestly the novel is really pretty good. Now something to make clear the main character is a super scumbag and even calls himself that. It’s an original Chinese novel that follows the stereotypical love life where he has a harem of girls. He has a cultivation method that encourages him to go to a brothel to increase his strength even though he has multiple women already. Which for even a Chinese harem novel seems too much, he tries to excuse himself because it’s for cultivation but it really is still too much. Even after some of the other women find out, they just accept it and are like since its cultivation then its fine, which it’s like really he has no consequences.
You can’t take this novel too seriously, otherwise it’s really hard to read. The MC will continue to grow with strength with no limits. However there are still parts of the novel that are good. The MC does act nicely to the women around them, the first girl he likes treats like a girlfriend and gives lots of gifts and treats her well. He has challenges why he grows stronger and is in a life and death crisis from time to time. The MC repays the people that are good to him and even helps more people when it is convenient.
The system is straightforward and rather interesting. It turns all negative side effects into positive side effects, so he starts using a technique that overdrafts his body to make himself stronger temporarily but hurts the body in the long term, which makes his body stronger in the long term instead of hurting himself. The world environment is also good, there are a lot of other races like elves and angels. The human race is a rather weak group and a small part of the world, which gives a lot of room for growth and adventure in the future.
In the end I am going to give this novel 3 stars. However if you are against harem novels then I suggest not reading this novel, even for harem novels this one is pretty excessive where it’s hard to ignore. I am at chapter 207 and still enjoy reading this novel, however I do have to turn off my brain a little bit.
