I really enjoyed this novel, this novel had a total of 401 chapters and was able to complete it with proper conclusion. However it still allowed for a second or related book later on. The story progressed at a steady pace and was able to use time lapses to keep the pace of the novel and to not get slow in the middle of the novel which often happens.
Our main character has a unique cheat that allows him to upgrade the genes he burns, this allows for him to eventually grow stronger then his peers however this takes a while to ramp up which I always enjoy that pace of a story when someone has a cheat vs someone who starts off ridiculous strong where no one can compete with him.
The story is a harem but doesn’t focus on these aspects and doesn’t have much if any romance. The relationships are still enjoyable to see develop but are entirely unrealistic and I wouldn’t recommend it if you are wanting to focus on the romance aspects.
Overall I really enjoyed the novel. It had a good length with a clear beginning, middle and end that flowed well and had a steady, interesting pace. The only negative aspect is that it’s a typical Chinese romance novel with a harem and a guy that grows stronger than anyone else in the world with not much suspense or surprise. I am going to give it 4 stars.
