God-level Base

God-level Base

This book is driving me crazy, I can’t decide if the book is good and I am just to stupid to keep up and understand. Otherwise it’s terrible and way too confusing. I am currently at chapter 160, I feel like the character is way overpowered but I am honestly not sure. The premise is that there are spiritual users and Earth is connected to multiple other worlds, each world has their own system of powers and depending on what world you are in it will increase/decrease your amount of power based on the influence of the world. Because of this the teachers on earth basically encourage people to learn all of the abilities, which is basically body refining, spiritual cultivation, and magic are the main 3. And then there are X amount of other ones.

So currently in the book he has 4 different abilities all of them are at different levels and I have no idea what those levels matter and it also seems like the MC doesn’t care either. He also has stats, which to confuse you more there’s a world where you have a game interface where you can get points to increase your stats so he makes himself a hero template but never uses it. He also has divine power which is basically used as a catch call to say he won’t be affected by other God’s. Ohh and he just got an ability where his stats will increase based on the number of summoned creatures he uses.

So basically if you are trying to take this novel seriously it’s probably going to drive you nuts and you will need a spreadsheet to keep track of how strong he is supposed to  be. Ohh and there is never a reference on how at this level the stats should be X. It’s always just like he has more stats then normal, like what does that mean when I don’t even know what the baseline is supposed to be.

If you throw away all the logic and just focus on the story it’s pretty good. I think the world concept is really interesting and has a ton of potential. He has an army of summoned beasts and basically has his own mini world to create his summons. I like both of those abilities and wish the novel would just focus on that more, instead as the novel goes on he goes farther and farther away from that. The actual plot feels super scattered, like technically he is supposed to still be in school, but the school life is basically not written about and none existent. He is constantly falling into one forced trouble into another one. Overall I really want to like this novell but I just can’t, I am going to give it 2 stars and probably stop reading.
