This novel I can’t decide if I like it or hate it. I have read through chapter 51, which is how far the novel is currently written. I can’t decide if the main character is a genius or an idiot. The side characters feel thrown together and seem inconsistent.
However I love the grittiness of the novel, this is one of the best novels that shows how disgusting and nasty being a necromancer can be. You really feel how desperate he is to keep this class, but at the same time disgusted by some aspects of it. I feel like the system people use is thought out and the overall plot of the story creates a compelling atmosphere for the main character.
At the same time you have a weird focus on his parents who are absent and seem like terrible parents. The main character however thinks they are the best and looks up to them even when they are no their to help him when he needs the help the most. His parents choose to go against the organization leading humanity and endure pain which is given to them by some type of seal. I don’t understand when and why they got this seal however it seems to control all the ability users at a certain level. Overall I think this novel has potential and is going to give it three stars. I love some aspects and hate other aspects.
