The next day, Mr. Zhuang’s teaching method was different. He only taught the theory of formations within the Qi refining period of Mo Hua, and combined various formations to let Mo Hua learn step by step.
This method is very similar to Yan Jiaoxi’s teaching method, but Mr. Zhuang’s level should be much higher, so the pattern is larger, the details are more complete, and the context is clearer.
Mo Hua also secretly felt sorry for Yan Jiaoxi. If it were not for the restriction of realm, Yan Jiaoxi might not be an ordinary teacher. At least in terms of the concepts of inheritance and education of formations, Yan Jiaoxi and Mr. Zhuang, who is highly accomplished in formations, have something in common. .
The obscure formation theories taught by Mr. Zhuang before gave Mo Hua a headache.
He has never been exposed to some theoretical ink paintings, so he has no clue and can only memorize them by rote. But no matter how good his memory is, he cannot remember these abstract and empty theoretical knowledge. He often forgets the previous ones and looks back at the previous contents. , and forgot the latter part, so I learned very slowly.
These ink paintings are very difficult to learn, but aristocratic families use them as the basis for learning formations. It is no wonder that those aristocratic families can stand in the monastic world for tens of thousands of years without falling.
The difference in background and inheritance between ordinary casual cultivators and aristocratic families is so great that among ordinary casual cultivators, formation masters are almost disconnected.
Mo Hua sighed, there was no point in comparing with others, he could only try his best to do better. Mo Hua warned himself, then calmed down and learned the formation according to Mr. Zhuang’s method.
Now starting from the Qi refining period, I mainly focus on drawing formations, supplemented by formation theory, and I can learn ink painting much faster.
Because I have painted a large number of formations day and night in ink painting. I would draw on Taoist monuments at night and on paper during the day. Occasionally, I would pull out a grass root and draw on the ground if I had nothing to do.
In terms of the amount of formation practice alone, some formation masters in the later stages of Qi refining may not necessarily have more practice than Mo Hua.
Therefore, after Mr. Zhuang changed the teaching method, he learned ink painting very quickly. After completing the theoretical study and letting Mo Hua draw the formations by hand, the progress of ink painting was even faster.
Mr. Zhuang first asked Mo Hua to relearn several formations containing five formation patterns, including some formations with five elements attributes that Mo Hua had never seen before. Mr. Puppet also helped Mo Hua prepare the formation diagrams including pen and ink.
I studied ink painting eagerly and painted persistently.
During the day, I painted formations in Mr. Zhuang’s leisurely residence. At night, when I fell asleep, I continued to practice on the Dao stele in the Sea of Knowledge. The formations of the five formations are not very difficult for ink painting. Generally, you can learn them after a few days of familiarity. One pair.
After that came the Dingshui Formation with six lines of formations. Before, Mo Hua was limited by his spiritual consciousness and could not draw a complete formation. Now, more than half a month has passed and he has been practicing the formation every day, and his spiritual consciousness has also increased a lot. Although he was a little reluctant, he was still able to completely draw the Dingshui Formation containing the six formation patterns.
After painting the Dingshui Formation, Mr. Zhuang taught several new formations, such as “Qianjun Formation”, “Quicksand Formation”, “Little Cloud and Rain Formation”, etc. With the support of spiritual consciousness and day and night practice, the ink painting became so After half a month, I have mastered them all.
Mr. Zhuang is quite satisfied, not only with the progress of ink painting, but also with the character of ink painting.
Not everyone as old as Mo Hua has the determination to sit down and learn formations every day.
But privately, Mr. Zhuang still felt a little regretful and said to Mr. Puppet:
“The child Mo Hua’s understanding is better than I thought before. It’s just a pity that he is from a casual cultivator and lacks the inheritance of formations. His foundation is much worse. Otherwise, he may not be much worse than the proud sons of those aristocratic families… “
“What’s so good about being a proud man?”
Mr. Zhuang was silent for a moment.
The old man looked at Mr. Zhuang silently, his voice was straight and indifferent, but there was an unspeakable sarcasm in it, “Weren’t you the proud one of heaven back then? Which of the disciples you accepted before was not the proud one of heaven, so what happened? ? You are in such a state of desolation now, do you need me to say…”
Mr. Zhuang sighed and said displeasedly: “If I die young, I will definitely be angry to death!”
The old man was indifferent, “Life and death are determined by destiny. If you say such things, it shows that you have not yet begun to understand the way of heaven.”
Mr. Zhuang simply lay down on the recliner and said meaningfully: “The heaven and the earth are unkind, and all creatures are like dogs. If a person can really understand the way of heaven, can he still be regarded as a human being?”
The old man was still playing chess alone, sitting as still as a rotten tree.
Mr. Zhuang teaches more about formations that include six formations, because the six formations are relatively complete and involve the prototypes of many basic formations, so they require a lot of learning and understanding.
After learning the formation of six formations, Mr. Zhuang was about to teach the formation of seven formations, but he discovered something quite surprising, that is, Mo Hua’s spiritual consciousness grew a bit fast.
When Mr. Zhuang saw Mo Hua for the first time, Mo Hua’s spiritual consciousness was not enough to draw six formation patterns. Now a month later, Mo Hua’s spiritual consciousness can not only support him to complete a complete formation including six formations, but even Now with seven formations, he can also draw six and a half formations.
Mr. Zhuang frowned slightly, feeling that something was wrong.
On this day, Mo Hua was learning a formation involving seven formations. Mr. Zhuang suddenly asked: “Mo Hua, do you know the method of visualization?”
Mo Hua looked stunned and said, “This disciple has never heard of it.”
“Is that so?” Mr. Zhuang pointed his finger at the table, pondered for a moment, and then asked, “Have you ever seen some strange images or patterns? When people take a look at them, their consciousness will be immersed in them involuntarily.”
Mo Hua thought for a moment and shook his head.
The strangest thing he has ever seen is the Taoist monument in his mind, but there are no patterns or obvious lines on the Taoist monument, and you won’t be immersed in it after looking at it for a long time.
Mr. Zhuang was silent for a moment and then said: “Your consciousness grows faster than others. You should have noticed this.”
Mo Hua nodded and said: “Disciples draw formations during the day, and practice formations while dreaming at night. Moreover, dreaming and drawing formations at night does not consume your spiritual consciousness. In this way, your spiritual consciousness will gradually increase day and night.”
I didn’t say anything about the Taoist monument, but everything else was true.
In fact, Mo Hua is not sure whether his spiritual awareness has increased because of the Taoist monument or simply because he keeps drawing formations.
Mo Hua then asked: “Sir, can your spiritual consciousness be enhanced as long as you keep drawing formations?”
Mr. Zhuang was asked.
Drawing formations will continuously consume your spiritual consciousness, and it will also continue to exercise your consciousness. As time goes by, your spiritual consciousness will naturally strengthen.
But according to the usual practice in the monastic world, they first find ways to improve their spiritual consciousness, and then learn the formation.
Because relying on the painting formation method to enhance spiritual consciousness is an extremely slow process, and it is easy to dry up spiritual consciousness and damage the sea of consciousness, causing irreparable consequences.
Therefore, few monks think of enhancing their spiritual consciousness by drawing formations, the simplest, slowest, and most risky method.
Mr. Zhuang felt that things were not that simple, and looked at Mo Hua with a little doubt. But when he touched Mo Hua’s gaze, he found that Mo Hua’s clear eyes were surprisingly serious and frank.
Mr. Zhuang has taught many disciples. He has seen some with admiration, some with fear, and some with full of thoughts. He has never seen such a candid look. Then he laughed and said: “That’s okay.”
“Do you know about meditation?” Mr. Zhuang asked again.
Mo Hua still shook his head.
“Meditation allows monks to enter a state of trance in a short period of time through meditation, so as to recover their spiritual consciousness faster. This is not something that a monk of your level should learn, but you are a bit special, so you can learn it now.”
Mo Hua didn’t know what was special about what Mr. Zhuang said, but there was something new to learn, so he happily said: “Thank you, sir.”
“But there is one thing you must remember.”
Mr. Zhuang’s expression gradually became serious, “If someone asks you why your spiritual consciousness grows so fast, just say it is because of the meditation technique I taught you. There is no need to say anything else.”
Mo Hua was a little confused, but he vaguely felt that Mr. Zhuang was doing it for his own good, and silently kept Mr. Zhuang’s words in his heart.
Mr. Zhuang nodded and took out a thin booklet from his sleeve. There were three words written on the booklet: “Meditation”.
